By the Round.

The best forward and best defender drafted in each round, ranked by points per game. Rounds 1 through 6, the rounds shared across all three PWHL drafts.

Point-per-game is a blunt instrument, but it does one job well: it surfaces who made the most of the games they played. Round-by-round it sharpens further, because now everyone in the comparison was taken under the same expectations.

A single forward and single defender per round are ranked across all three drafts simultaneously. The 20-game minimum matters because a player who scored four points in five call-ups is not the round's best forward, even if her PPG says so. The deep rounds of the 2023 draft, which had no 2024 or 2025 counterparts, are excluded.

Cards are named for the team that drafted the player, not by the team they play for now. For example, Daryl Watts is Ottawa, even though she currently plays for Toronto.

Picks are credited to the team that exercised them. Players are ranked by career points per game across all PWHL regular seasons. A 20-game minimum applies. Career points then earlier pick number break ties.

This view is capped at round 6 because that's the deepest round shared across all three drafts. The 2023 draft ran 15 rounds, 2024 ran 7, 2025 ran 6.
